The All-Russian Championship and Championship of Russia in modern dance styles was held in Sochi. The main purpose of the tournament is to find talented teams, performing in different styles of contemporary dance and choreography. The main tasks of the competition are to share experience between teachers and dancers from various regions of Russia and the near abroad, to promote healthy lifestyles and full leisure time among young people, to attract children, teenagers and young people to modern dance classes, to preserve the dance heritage.
Maria Zapenkova, a 1st year student of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, took part in the Russian Modern Dance Championship. Maria performed in different styles.
As a result of the competition the student received 3 gold and 1 silver medal:
- "Popping duo" - gold;
- "Popping solo" - silver;
- "Hip-Hop MG" - gold;
- "Hip-Hop Duo" - gold.
As a result, Maria became a three-time Russian champion.
