Participation in the videoconferencing of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia for pedigree dairy cattle breeding

Stavropol SAU, as part of the delegation of the Stavropol Territory, took part in a video conference with the constituent entities of the Russian Federation on the development of a breeding base for dairy cattle breeding, chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation D.Kh. Khatuov.

An extraordinary meeting in the form of an online conference with all constituent entities of the Russian Federation, which was initiated by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia, together with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, was devoted to topical issues of the development of pedigree dairy cattle breeding.

During the meeting, under the leadership of the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dzhambulat Khizirovich Khatuov, the issues of selection, breeding and scientific support of livestock breeding were considered.

On behalf of the Stavropol Territory, the delegation was represented by Sergey Aleksandrovich Oleinik, professor of the basic department of selection and animal breeding of the FSBEI HE Stavropol State Agrarian University.

Among the promising areas for improving the regulatory framework, representatives of state, scientific and business associations identified the main provisions for managing a dairy herd taking into account the ICAR methodology, for the first time in Russia developed by a creative team led by Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Professor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev, consisting of: Department of selection and animal breeding S.A. Oleinik, dean of the faculties of biotechnologyl and veterinary medicine V.S. Skripkin, associate professor A.A. Pokotilo, specialist of the Laboratory for selection control of milk quality E.V. Yanochkina.

Suggestions for improving the interaction of breeding farms with the Laboratory for selection control of milk quality at Stavropol State Agrarian University for optimization of selection and breeding work, taking into account the new tasks identified, were submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory.
