International Exhibition and Congress "PRO apple" is a highly productive platform for the exchange of experience and modern technologies among Russian and foreign market participants, which provides an opportunity to exchange professional experience, which helps to keep abreast of world trends in the industry and the achievements of horticulture, which provides for the introduction of modern technologies for growing, storage and pre-sale preparation of fruit products.
Representatives of the Stavropol State Agrarian University took part in the plenary session chaired by the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Russia Dzhambulat Khizirovich Khatuov:
• Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko - Dean of the Faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources, Ecology and Landscape Architecture, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences,
• Alexander Vladimirovich Voskoboinikov - Director of the educational and experimental farm, Associate Professor of the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences,
• Timur Soltanovich Aisanov - Associate Professor, Deputy Dean for Research of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources.
The industrial horticulture industry is a priority area for the development of the Russian agro-industrial complex and one of the most investment-intensive segments of the agro-industrial complex.
Annually, "PROapple" exhibition-congress receives more than 700 managers and representatives of enterprises for the production of fruit products, planting material, manufacturers and suppliers of machinery, equipment, storage, processing, sorting and packaging lines, representatives of government authorities, business communities and retail chains.
Over the past ten years, the production of fruits and berries in the Stavropol Territory has increased 2.6 times - up to 60 thousand tons in all categories of farms in 2020. Today, the organized sector of the industry employs 7,000 people in 50 fruit growing organizations. The total area of gardens is 11 thousand hectares, including 7.7 thousand hectares of fruit-bearing gardens. At the same time, more than 600 hectares of gardens are laid annually in the region, half of which are super-intensive gardens. Also within the region, domestic planting material is produced that meets high standards.
