For the purpose of practical training of graduate students of the Faculty of Biotechnology, a practical training in the discipline "Sheep and goat breeding" was held in the testing laboratory and the wool certification body of the All-Russian Research Institute of Sheep and Goat Breeding.
One of the activities of the Stavropol State Agrarian University is the practice-oriented activity of students in the process of their preparation for professional activity.
Within the framework of the agreement concluded between the Stavropol State Agrarian University and the North Caucasus Federal Scientific Agrarian Center, a basic Department of Private Animal Husbandry, Selection and Breeding of Animals was created, which trains specialists for the agro-industrial complex of the region and the country.
For the purpose of practical training of students in the direction of 36.03.02 "Zootechnics" for the 4th year students of the Biotechnology Faculty, under the guidance of the head of the base department, Doctor of Biological Sciences Evgeny Nikolaevich Chernobay, a practical training on the subject "Sheep and goat breeding" was held in the testing laboratory and the wool certification body – All-Russian Research Institute of Sheep and Goat Breeding on the topic: "Testing wool to determine the quality indicators for the purpose of its certification."
Before starting the training, the director of the institute, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Alexander Ivanovich Surov met with the students, who spoke about the institute, its fields of activity and achievements. After that, the guys were met by the head of the wool certification body, graduate of SSAU Sergey Alekseevich Talalaev, who spoke about the capabilities of his laboratory.
The entire testing process was demonstrated to the students by Irina Aleksandrovna Bazhenova, an expert on the conformity of wool quality. The excursion turned out to be very informative and useful for the students.
