Associate Professor of the Department of Production and Processing of Food Products from Plant Raw Materials Timur Soltanovich Aisanov visited the largest horticultural enterprise in Karachay-Cherkessia. During the visit, a productive dialogue took place with the chief agronomist of the farm Arsen Kushkhov, contributing to the exchange of experience and discussion of advanced scientific developments and practical experience in the field of gardening.
LLC "Gardens of Karachay-Cherkessia" is the largest fruit-growing enterprise in the KChR, where apple, pear and peach are grown using modern intensive technologies. The implementation of the state project to revive the traditions of fruit growing in the republic began in 2017. Today the area of the garden is more than 500 hectares. The creation of this enterprise contributed not only to an increase in the level of self-sufficiency of Karachay-Cherkessia with fruits of local origin, but also to the creation of a large number of jobs, which has a positive effect on the economic situation in the region.
Employees of the Department of Production and Processing of Food Products from Plant Materials carry out regular visits to leading fruit-growing, vegetable-growing and wine-making enterprises, where they undergo internships, which allows them to increase their level of practical skills and competencies. At the same time, the employees of the visited enterprises, for their part, have the opportunity to ask scientists questions about advanced scientific developments and consult on the possibility of their implementation in their farm.
