Professors Forum 2021 "Science and Technology in the XXI Century: Trends and Prospects"

The Professors' Forum began its work in Moscow. The topic of this year will be current scientific achievements and priority tasks of the development of science and education. Within the framework of the forum, the ceremony of awarding the National Awards "Professor of the Year 2021", "Dean of the Year 2021" and "Rector of the Year 2021" will be held.

The Forum is included in the plan of events for the Year of Science and Technology. It is attended by academicians, rectors and deans of universities, representatives of legislative and executive authorities, public figures. The topic of the forum this year is Science and Technology in the 21st Century: Trends and Prospects.

Participants of the Professorial Forum will talk about the role of the professor in the development of scientific schools, about the scientific strategies of universities, about the support of university research, the development of youth sports and the promotion of Russian science, as well as about the professional and public accreditation of universities as a tool to improve the quality of education.

On the first day of the forum, the plenary session was addressed by the Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia Valery Nikolaevich Falkov, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Olga Viktorovna Timofeeva, Chairman of the State Duma's profile Committee on Education Vyacheslav Alekseevich Nikonov, Senator, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on Science, Education and Culture Lilia Salavatovna Gumerova and others.

Deputy Speaker of the State Duma Olga Viktorovna Timofeeva took part in the online forum a Stavropol State Agrarian University together with the Acting Rector of SSAU, Professor Alexander Vladimirovich Trukhachev.

This year, the Dean of the Faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources, Ecology and Landscape Architecture, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko became the winner of the National Award "Dean of the Year", approved by the Russian professors' meeting.

The professors' forum will be held in a four-day format, September 27-30. Plenary sessions and the work of thematic sections are organized at the site of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation.
