Stavropol State Agrarian University passed the first stage of defense of development programs within the framework of the "Priority 2030" project

Priority 2030 is the largest program in the history of modern Russia aimed at supporting and developing universities. The goal of the program is to form a wide group of universities that will become leaders in the creation of new scientific knowledge, technologies and developments for implementation in the Russian economy and social sphere.

Stavropol State Agrarian University has passed the second stage of the strategic academic leadership program "Priority 2030". The university claims to receive special grants, including for conducting scientific research and creating high-tech products and technologies, ensuring the socio-economic development of territories, strengthening the human and scientific and technological potential of organizations in the real sector of the economy and the social sphere.

According to the Minister of Agriculture Dmitry Patrushev, Priority-2030 is the most ambitious program of state support and development of universities in the history of the country. Stavropol State Agrarian University, along with Saratov and Kuban Agrarian Universities, will be headed by three consortia, which will include a total of 12 agricultural universities.

“Participation in the state program of support for universities “Priority 2030 ” for us is not only a unique opportunity to reach a new level of scientific and technological development of the priority areas of the university, but also work in a consortium. An unprecedented chance to form a new competence-oriented model of training specialists to implement a new paradigm of agricultural development for the entire North Caucasian Federal District, ”said Acting Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Alexander Trukhachev.

The goal of the Priority 2030 program is to form in Russia more than 100 progressive modern universities - centers of scientific, technological and socio-economic development of the country. As part of their programs, the universities participating in the project should achieve such ambitious goals as the implementation of breakthrough scientific research, the introduction of high technologies, the commercialization of the results of intellectual activity and technology transfer, the introduction of innovative educational programs and the renewal of the material and technical base of universities.
