A traveling regional exhibition of breeding animals in the "Plemzavod Vtoraya Pyatiletka"

Students of the Faculty of Biotechnology, as part of the implementation of practice-oriented approaches to training, visited the "Plemzavod Vtoraya Pyatiletka" of the Ipatovsky district.

Within the framework of cooperation with the leading agricultural enterprises of the region, teachers and students of the Stavropol State Agrarian University visited the "Plemzavod Vtoraya Pyatiletka" of the Ipatovsky region.

This enterprise is headed by the honorary professor of SSAU, candidate of agricultural sciences Igor Gennadievich Serdyukov, and the breeding plant has been the base for our students to practice for many years.

During the visit of the students to the breeding farm, the sheep were assessed in the framework of the visiting regional exhibition of breeding animals. The assessment group included leading experts of the sheep-breeding industry, representatives of the Center for Pedigree Resources and the All-Russian Research Institute of Sheep and Goat Breeding: Alexander Ivanovich Surov, Galina Viktorovna Zavgorodnyaya, Svetlana Nikolaevna Shumaenko.

According to the agreement on the creation of a base department of private animal husbandry, selection and breeding of animals, employees of the All-Russian Research Institute of Sheep and Goat Breeding, a branch of the North Caucasian Federal Research Center, conducted master classes for students on determining the breeding value of sheep. Students learned with interest the experience of scientists and practitioners-sheep breeders and received detailed answers to all questions.
