The university continues to implement the international project 610383-EPP-1-2019-1-DE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP (2019-2086) "Improving postgraduate education in the field of sustainable agriculture and agricultural systems of the future" - SAGRIS, which is carried out by five universities of the European Union and four universities of the Russian Federation and Kazakhstan. The project coordinator was the University of Nürtingen-Geislingen - (Germany).

Within the framework of the project, it was planned to hold the first block-seminar on module 2 "Crop and livestock systems in the context of climate change" on the basis of the Kostanay Regional University named after A. Baitursynov in the city of Kostanay.

But due to the epidemiological situation, it was decided to hold a teleconference between Russia and Kazakhstan, where the Russian side met at the Buryat State Agricultural Academy named after V.I. V.R. Filippov.

The seminar was held in the rural area of the Tunkinsky region, located within the borders of the Tunkinsky National Park, as an illustrative example of the impact of climate change on the development of crop and livestock systems.

Associate professors Elena Borisovna Drepa and Svetlana Vasilievna Okrut and graduate students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources of the first year of study: Daria Kalmykova, Stanislav Pasko and Maxim Filimonov took part in the block seminar from the Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The first block of the seminar on module 2 within the framework of an international project was opened by the rector of the Buryat State Agricultural Academy, Professor Balikto Tsybikov; Chairman of the Board, Rector of Kostanay RU, Professor Alma Doschanova, Head of the module from the European Union, Professor of the Czech University of Life Sciences Michal Loshtak (Czech Republic); head of the module, professor of the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy Olga Altayeva and head of the module, professor of KosRU Indira Aitzhanova.

During the week, the participants took part in online lectures and seminars conducted by scientists from leading European countries, Kazakhstan and Russia.

Groups of graduate students were previously given the task to develop a business plan for the development of the enterprises OOO Zhemchug and OOO Sayanskiy Maral. At the end of the block-seminar, the projects were publicly defended. The heads of these farms were present at the defense of the projects of graduate students and they were very interested in the proposals presented by the teams of developers.

The head of Sayansky Maral LLC Bulat Garmaev was interested in the proposal for the development of agritourism on the use of apitherapy, and the general director of Zhemchug LLC Tamir Shagdarov was very interested in the proposal for the production of boned concrete.

It was also important that all the proposals of the postgraduates were ecologically motivated, since both enterprises are located on the territory of the Tunkinsky National Park.

For fruitful work, the participants were organized an excursion to these enterprises, which are a clear example of the development of animal husbandry and crop production in a harsh and frequently changing climate.
