Scientists of the Stavropol State Agrarian University are actively involved in scientific work in various fields. Together with the Scientific Research Institute of Agriculture of the Crimea, studies were carried out to study the effectiveness of biological products.
Professor of the Department of Soil Science Vera Ivanovna Faizova, together with a full-time postgraduate student Sergey Valerievich Tskhovrebov, carried out the harvest of corn for grain at the experimental site of SSAU to study the effect of biological products on the growth, development, productivity of plants and fertility of leached chernozem.
In the experiment, we used a polyfunctional preparation KBP-standard, which is characterized by fertilizing properties and ensures the accumulation of nitrogen and phosphorus in the soil.
KBP - innovative, with fertilizing and bioprotective properties; PCM is a polystyrene microbial complex with protective and growth-stimulating properties; KMP-92, which has a combination of fertilizing and growth-stimulating properties. The developer of the preparations is the FGBUN "Research Institute of Agriculture of Crimea".
At the same time, soil samples were taken for further research in the laboratory to determine the quality indicators of soils, greenhouse soils and fertilizers, organized on the basis of the department. At present, measurements have already been made of the main parameters of the corn cob, which included the determination of the length and weight of the cob, the number of grains and their weight per cob. The mass of 1000 grains was determined and the biological yield of grain corn was calculated.
