Stavropol State Agrarian University claims to participate in the "Priority 2030" program

Russian universities have completed the defense of development programs in the track "Territorial and (or) industry leadership" within the framework of the federal program "Priority 2030". 36 universities of the country were recommended for protection on this track, among them is Stavropol State Agrarian University. In case of successful defense, the university can receive up to 1 billion rubles for the implementation of the announced projects.

The goal of the Priority 2030 program is to form a wide group of universities that will become leaders in creating new scientific knowledge, technologies and developments for implementation in the Russian economy and social sphere. The universities participating in the program will develop and disseminate the best practices of research, innovation and educational activities throughout the higher education system, and will increase the attractiveness of life and work in the regions of Russia, including for foreign students and foreign scientists.

The Governor, together with the Acting Rector of SSAU and the regional delegation, presented in Moscow a plan for the development of the university for inclusion in the program developed by President Vladimir Putin. Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko and Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Falkov attended the meeting as experts.

The SSAU development program for the next decade was presented by the Acting Rector Alexander Vladimirovich Trukhachev. In the plan for the development of the university, there are different areas that are associated with the development of the agricultural industry and the real needs of the region. For example, on the basis of the university, they expect to create centers for the development of selection and pedigree business in animal husbandry, biologization of agriculture, and retraining of industry specialists.

"The directions of strategic positioning are substantively determined by the general theme of the development program of the University "Agroinnopolis-2030" - the generation of network of scientific, educational, partnership, socio-cultural ties to accompany the continuous process of constant improvements in the model "People - education - science - innovation - production - state - people" in order to promote food security and sustainable development of the food system and economy of the Stavropol Territory and the North Caucasian Federal District. Unlocking the potential of each "resident" of "Agroinnopolis-2030" is ensured by the variability of obtaining education in accordance with requests, involvement in various scientific and educational projects. The University guarantees the consolidation of the resource potential and the market launch of ready-made design and management solutions, biotechnological and digital developments, the promotion of positive social, environmental and cultural practices. In "Agroinnopolis-2030", a partner ecosystem is formed for the development and launch of ready-made design and management solutions to the market, support for "residents" and strategic partners is provided at all stages of implementation of innovative solutions into real production processes. The target model of the "Agroinnopolis-2030" program will be based on the implementation of 8 tracks: new education in the context of digital transformation, capitalization of scientific research; human resources, project and socially responsible management, leadership, demand for young people, added value for consumers, financial stability ”- said Acting Rector of SSAU, Doctor of Economics, Professor Alexander Vladimirovich Trukhachev.

The application of Stavropol State Agrarian University has already passed the primary selection. It is planned that the selection results for the Priority-2030 program will be announced at the end of October.
