Insurer Day was held at Stavropol State Agrarian University

Day of the Russian insurer is a professional holiday for employees of the insurance industry. This date is celebrated annually on October 6th. Traditionally, Stavropol State Agrarian University organizes business games for students on this day to test their knowledge of the basics of insurance literacy, as well as master classes, round tables, open lectures.

This year, the Day of the Russian Insurer was also marked by a cycle of intellectual and educational events organized by the teachers of the Department of Finance, Credit and Insurance in cooperation with the university's partner insurance companies.

The festival was attended by students of the Accounting and Finance Faculty, the Faculty of Social and Cultural Service and Tourism and the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education.

On the basis of the Boiling Point of SSAU, an interfaculty business insurance game "Play ProSto" was held, timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the foundation of the Rosgosstrakh company. The event was held with the support of the branch of PJSC IC Rosgosstrakh in the Stavropol Territory. 

The insurance game is a team competition in a question-and-answer format, designed not only for knowledge and outlook, but also for the players' quick wits, their logic, quick reaction and sense of humor. Within the framework of the event, materials on adaptation and training for the development of soft and hard skills, events for acquaintance with the specifics of insurance activities and obtaining first-hand information about a career in an insurance company were used.

The knowledge gained during the event is a significant contribution to the development of students' personal capital, which they will be able to successfully invest in the future in their life path.

The event was opened by Associate Professor of the Department of Finance, Credit and Insurance Yulia Evgenievna Klishina. She congratulated students and teachers, noting that a good tradition has developed at the Faculty of Accounting and Finance - to celebrate professional holidays with students. Yulia Evgenievna also expressed her vision of the prospects for the insurance professions and career in the Russian insurance market.

The moderators of the game were the leading business coaches of the branch of PJSC IC Rosgosstrakh in the Stavropol Territory Adelya Barievna Samakaeva and Marina Evgenievna Svidina. 

All participants received an excellent charge of positive emotions, were awarded diplomas and memorable prizes.

As part of the celebration of the Day of the Insurer, a master class "Insurance: A Guide to Financial Planning" was held for students, during which Lyubov Petrovna Stetsyuk, a financial consultant, leading specialist of the insurance company Sovkombank Life, spoke about the main types of work with risk, about how not to be in the "financial pyramid", gave a short historical excursion about personal insurance - life insurance and insurance against accidents.

During the master class, the participants learned the place of life insurance in financial planning. The speaker outlined what to look for when choosing an insurance company, spoke about the reliability ratings of insurance companies, and identified 5 signs of a reliable insurance company. In addition, the audience of the online event got acquainted with the types of personal insurance that are most popular among the population and in the business environment, with the possibilities of settling an insured event and receiving insurance compensation. Lyubov Petrovna also told students what nuances it is important to take into account when concluding a contract with an insurer.

In total, more than 80 students of the Accounting and Finance Faculty and the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education took part in the event. At the end of the master class, students had the opportunity to ask their questions. The speaker gave detailed and comprehensive answers to all questions.

The cycle of events dedicated to the Day of the Insurer ended with a solemn celebration of the 100th anniversary of Rosgosstrakh. Traditionally, on this day, employees who have received corporate awards for outstanding personal contribution and achievement of high results in work are awarded, as well as veterans of the company are honored.

The head of the branch of the company in the Stavropol Territory, Georgy Olegovich Nefetidi, congratulated his colleagues and noted their merits. On behalf of the Acting Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Professor Alexander Vladimirovich Trukhachev, a congratulatory address on the professional holiday and anniversary was announced. In his congratulations, Vice-Rector for Academic and Educational Work, Professor Ivan Vyacheslavovich Atanov noted that Rosgosstrakh and Stavropol State Agrarian University have many years of successful cooperation experience. The impetus for the development of partnerships was the opening of the first Student Insurance Agency in Russia on the basis of the university. This is an innovative educational project in which students acquire relevant knowledge, practical skills, "pump" professional competencies and softskills. The scientific and pedagogical community and students of Stavropol State Agrarian University are grateful to the company for their participation in the implementation of joint projects.
