In Stavropol State Agrarian University the third stage of the project "Farmer's School" has started

This is a joint project of the Government of the Stavropol Territory, "Rosselkhozbank" JSC, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation and Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The educational project "Farmer's School" was created at the initiative of Rosselkhozbank and is successfully implemented at Stavropol State Agrarian University with the support of the Government of Stavropol region, the Ministry of Agriculture and Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The opening was attended by Sergey Izmalkov, acting Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory, Irina Leonova, Deputy Director of the Stavropol branch of Rosselkhozbank, Olga Lisova, Vice-Rector for additional education, professor of Stavropol State Agrarian University, as well as representatives of companies where participants of the "Farmer School" will undertake their practice. These are the companies "Stavropol Farmer" and "Stavropol Vegetables".

In 2020, the Stavropol Territory was one of the pioneers of the project, along with the Novosibirsk and Moscow Regions, as well as Bashkortostan. Today, at the same time with us, the project opens in 25 other regions of Russia.

26 representatives of 12 administrative territories of the region have been selected through a competitive selection process to participate in the professional retraining program "Organization and functioning of peasant (farm) households.

"Agrarians need knowledge and skills, especially for beginners. The emergence of such a project as "Farmer's School performs a significant educational function in the preparation of qualified specialists in the field of agriculture", - stressed the Acting Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory Sergey Izmalkov.

As noted the Vice-Rector for Further Education Olga Lisova, this year for the first time in the selection of candidates was a competition of three people per place.

Training of students will be held from October 20, 2021 to December 24, 2021. The peculiarity of the program is the opportunity to choose the necessary specialization for professional activity: greenhouse industry, sheep breeding, horticulture.

As part of the program, trainees will undergo an internship at the leading enterprises of the Stavropol Territory such as LLC "Fruit Association "Gardens of Stavropolya", GC "Damate", agro-industrial holding "Eco-Cultura".

During the course students study legal aspects of farming, financial business models, basics of marketing, get acquainted with the latest agricultural technologies, learn to cooperate with large agricultural holdings. The course ends with the defense of business projects.

At the end everyone will receive diplomas of the established sample of Stavropol State Agrarian University and the opportunity to participate in the competitive selection for support measures from the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia.
