Professor of Stavropol State Agrarian University held a seminar at St. Petersburg University

Andrey Kvochko, Head of the Department of Physiology, Surgery and Obstetrics, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor of Russian Academy of Sciences, member of VAK expert council on zootechnical and veterinary sciences, took part in an extended meeting of the rectorate on the creation of dissertation councils in the conditions of new legislative acts of Ministry of Science and Higher Education in St. Petersburg State Agrarian University on October 18, 2021.

Together with the Rector of St. Petersburg State University, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine V.Y. Morozov, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation R.O. Kolesnikov, Vice-Rector for Education, International Work and Digitalization N.A. Tsyganova discussed the prospects of opening new dissertation councils at the university.

On October 19, 2021 in St. Petersburg State University of Veterinary Medicine professor of StSAU Kvochko held a seminar-meeting on the topic "The creation of dissertation councils in the conditions of new legislative acts of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education," which was attended by the scientific community.

Within the framework of the meeting the following issues were considered: the entry into force of the new nomenclature and passports of scientific specialties, the requirements for the members of the dissertation council, the list of journals in which the results of dissertation research should be published, the correspondence of postgraduate training areas to the new nomenclature of scientific specialties.

During the seminar, students asked questions of interest, discussed ways of adapting the available scientific groundwork on dissertation research to the new requirements of the passports of scientific specialties.
