SSAU students listened to a series of lectures on the prevention of various types of addiction

For first-year students of the faculties of agrobiology and land resources; ecology of landscape architecture held a series of meetings with representatives of medical institutions.

Within the framework of the discipline "Introduction to professional activity" for 1st year students of the faculties of agrobiology and land resources; ecology and landscape architecture meetings were held with specialists from medical institutions.

Such meetings aimed at preventing drug addiction, tobacco smoking, alcoholism and healthy lifestyles have become a tradition at the faculties.

Yulia Aleksandrovna Fedorova, a medical psychologist at the Regional Clinical Narcological Dispensary, told the freshmen about the dangers of drinking alcoholic beverages, narcotic and psychotropic substances.

Oksana Nikolaevna Abolina, a psychologist at the Regional AIDS Prevention Center, raised issues of HIV and AIDS prevention. The students were shown a film demonstrating the work of the immune system during the penetration of the immunodeficiency virus into the body and the consequences of its influence on the body's systems.

The dermatovenerologist of the Regional Clinical Skin and Venereal Dispensary Suprunova Ksenia Armenovna told the students about the prevention of sexually transmitted diseases.

The meetings were held in the form of discussions, during which students received qualified answers to their questions. The guests of the faculty told the participants about the benefits and significance of preventive measures, the influence of certain diseases not only on the health of the patient himself, but also on society as a whole, as well as the existence of hot lines for helping people in difficult situations.
