All-Russian Savings Week has started at the Stavropol State Agrarian University

More than 4000 credit and financial organizations, public organizations, representatives of universities, colleges and schools will take part in this event, which will hold free lectures, seminars, excursions and games on their sites.

On October 26, the 7th All-Russian Week of Savings started on the basis of the Azbuka Money Business School of the SmartAgro Youth Technopark of the Stavropol State Agrarian University within the framework of the Ministry of Finance's project “Assistance in increasing the level of financial literacy of the population and the development of financial education in the Russian Federation”.

The main goal of Savings Week is to draw people's attention to financial culture and give them the necessary knowledge. The organizers strive to ensure that citizens understand why to keep track of funds, how to spend less and get more income, how to create a "safety cushion" in case of losing a job, why it is important to observe credit discipline.

During the Savings Week, a series of free educational events for schoolchildren and students will take place in 70 regions of Russia. This way, young Russians will be able to get acquainted with the basic financial concepts and principles of financially competent behavior, learn more about existing financial risks and protect their rights, and also discuss competent approaches to making their first financial decisions with experts.

Within the walls of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, within the framework of the VII All-Russian Week of Savings, a meeting was held with the director of Finam-Stavropol LLC Lyubov Mikhailovna Butaliy.

For over 27 years FINAM has been the largest investment holding company, one of the leaders in the Russian stock market in terms of turnover, the number of active clients, and has been fruitfully cooperating with the Agrarian University.

The head of the Department of Financial Management and Banking, Doctor of Economics, Professor Yulia Mikhailovna Sklyarova took an active part in organizing and conducting the event.

Lyubov Mikhailovna told the students about the successful experience of investing in the stock market. How to independently form a stock portfolio without leaving your home. How to invest in mutual funds and use the power of structured products. How to quickly navigate investment ideas and use the help of personal brokers. And she gave a lot of practical advice and stories from successful investors. Special attention was paid to the issues of private investment. The students learned how to effectively independently manage their savings and receive tax deductions for the "Individual Investment Account (IIA)" service.

At the end of the event, a specialist from a financial company was happy to answer students' questions, thereby causing a lively discussion.
