The final of the "Umnik" competition was held at the Stavropol State Agrarian University

The competition has been implemented in Russia for more than 15 years, and the university is the venue for the final, which was attended by 76 participants in 6 different directions.

On November 12, the Stavropol State Agrarian University hosted a regional scientific and practical conference "Innovative ideas of the youth of the Stavropol Territory – the development of the Russian economy" within the framework of the "Umnik" program of the Federal Fund for Assistance to the Development of Small Forms of Enterprises in the Scientific and Technical Sphere.

The Foundation for the Promotion of Innovations within the framework of the Umnik competition provides grant support for research projects, the results of which have the prospect of commercialization.

Within two years, the grant amount is 500 thousand rubles for each winner. The best selected projects will go to Moscow, where the final results of the federal competition "Umnik" will be summed up. The solemn presentation of the statuettes will take place next year in the Duma of the Stavropol Territory. After that, state contracts will be concluded with the winners, which will serve as a start for the introduction of author's scientific innovations of young scientists into the Russian economy.
