With the support of the student sports club "Kolos", student of the Faculty of Economics of SSAU Magomed Bagavdinov at the World Grappling Championship took third place in two categories.
From 12 to 14 November, the AGML World Grappling Championship was held in St. Petersburg. This is a type of wrestling that combines the techniques of many wrestling disciplines - judo, sambo, Greco-Roman wrestling and jujitsu.
An activist of SSC "Kolos", a student of the Faculty of Economics - Magomed Bagavdinov, represented the Stavropol State Agrarian University in the competition and showed the following results:
3rd place in the NoGI category (92+);
3rd place in the GI category (92+).
More than 700 people from 10 countries of the world took part in the competition in the age category from 12 to 35 years old.
Magomed Bagavdinov said that he has been grappling for two years. He received basic skills in freestyle wrestling. Before entering the world championship, he won the championship and the cup of Russia. Even then, he received a leg injury, and at world-class competitions it worsened.
Magomed shared the features of this battle:
“The first fight went well. On the second my opponent was the two-time world champion. The period lasts five minutes, and when there are 50 seconds left, it "went" to my injured leg. The whole denouement of the battle was on it. " Now the fighter will have a recovery period. Magomed Bagavdinov added that his relatives are proud of his achievements. In the future, he plans to improve the results.
Achievement of such high results became possible thanks to the support of the student sports club "Kolos", represented by the Stavropol State Agrarian University.
