SSAU students brought "gold" from the tournament "Gold of the Scythians"

For two days at competitions in Crimea, athletes performed bench press, deadlift, biceps curls, squat with a barbell. Among the best are students of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.

From 13 to 14 November in Simferopol was held the Master tournament "Gold of the Scythians III" in powerlifting and streetlifting.

For two days, athletes fought for titles and prizes in their age categories, fulfilled the standards. Due to the restrictions associated with the spread of coronavirus infection, the tournament was held in a closed training format. There were no spectators at the event.

Athletes and coaches were allowed to compete only if they had documents: a QR code or a PCR test (valid for no more than 7 days).

Stavropol State Agrarian University in the competition was represented by students Danil Pavlyuchenko and Ivan Masalov. They won gold among juniors, each in their own weight category. Athletes study in the 4th year at the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources.

The debut of Polina Soboleva, a student of the electrical power faculty of SSAU, turned out to be successful. She became the best in the 52 kg weight category among girls and set a record of the Crimea in deadlift in three exercises in the amount of 150 kg. Polina began to play sports with admission to the Stavropol State Agrarian University. She achieved such results in just 3 months.

The coach of athletes N.V. Mukhortova became the winner in the open category of 67.5 kg.
