Starting presentation of the "Center for Organization and Support of Organic Poultry Farming in the South of Russia"

In accordance with the Program for the Year of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation, on November 17, at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in a hybrid format, the launch presentation of the "Center for Organization and Support of Organic Poultry Farming in the South of Russia" was held.

The moderator of the event is the director of Agrokormservice plus LLC Vrana Andrey Valdemarovich, the coordinators from the basic department of private animal husbandry, selection and breeding of animals of the university are Professor Elena Edigartovna Epimakhova, Associate Professor Evgeny Ivanovich Rastovarov.

The event was attended by the academic staff, students and postgraduates of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Biotechnology, Senior Researcher of ARSRISGB Professor Shevkhuzhev A.F., in online form representatives of "Center of pure-bred Resources" of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory, DagSAU, GorSAU, FNTs "VNITIP" RAS, private farm and private household plots of the population of the North Caucasus Federal District.

Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology Faculty Valentin Sergeevich Skripkin, opening the event, noted the long-term fruitful cooperation of the university with Agrokormservice Plus LLC in different directions: improving the keeping of breeding poultry, incubating eggs, conducting experiments in model and field conditions, training veterinarians of modern level, participation in specialized exhibitions and scientific conferences.

Vrana A.V. presented materials on the topic "The potential for providing organic poultry farming in the South of Russia", including an assortment and a logistics center of fodder products from regional raw materials, own production facilities with modern equipment for keeping meat and egg chickens on the floor and in cages, a hatchery, a range of special vehicles, as well as a variety of services (audit, consulting, business planning)

E.E. Epimakhova, highlighting the "State and the regulatory framework of organic poultry farming", focused the attention of those present on the regulatory procedure for the production of table eggs and poultry according to the criteria of organic agriculture: the prohibition of the use of antibiotics as stimulants of growth and fattening of animals; the use of biological agents to combat animal diseases; selection of poultry genotypes, adapted to extensive housing technologies. In this regard, the population of the South of Russia is in demand for the genotypes of meat and meat-eating chickens with colored plumage - the "Redbro M" and "Dominant TsZ" crosses offered by Agrokormservice Plus LLC.

The marketing specialist of the company Vrana Olga Andreevna reported on the schedule of implementation, prices and the procedure for selling hybrid hatching eggs, daily and reared young stock.
