Online marathon on financial literacy was held at SSAU

The final of the online marathon on financial literacy among students of educational institutions of secondary vocational education of the Stavropol Territory was held at venue of the «Business School «Azbuka Money» of the youth technopark «FoodNet» of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.

The game was held as part of the implementation of a set of educational activities of the regional program "Increasing the level of financial literacy of the population of the Stavropol Territory and the development of financial education in the Stavropol Territory for 2019-2023." The organizers were the Stavropol State Agrarian University and the Training Center of the Ministry of Finance of the Stavropol Territory.

In the finals of the online marathon on financial literacy, held on November 23, 2021, the teams of the State Budget Professional Educational Institution " Blagodarny Agronomical College", the State Budget Professional Educational Institution "Nevinnomyssk Nevinnomyssk Power Engineering College ", the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education of the FSBEI HE "Stavropol State Agrarian University" 12 teams participating in the online marathon. The distance format made it possible to gather participants from different territories of the Stavropol Territory in difficult conditions of COVID restrictions.

The main goal of the event is to ensure the massive dissemination of educational and reliable information necessary for the competent solution of financial issues during the post-coronavirus crisis among students of secondary vocational education institutions in a game format.

The event was opened with a welcoming speech to the tournament participants, the coordinator of the regional program "Increasing the level of financial literacy of the population of the Stavropol Territory and the development of financial education in the Stavropol Territory for 2019-2023" Nadezhda Ivanovna Gerasimenko.

During the game rounds, the participants had to answer their chosen questions from the presented categories "Personal financial planning", "Family budget management", "Savings", "Investments", "Taxation", "Credit load management", "Bank cards", "Risks and financial security”, “Insurance”, “Pension provision”, “Protection of the rights of consumers of financial services”.

In addition, in each round there were unusual questions: "Question-auction" and "Pig in a poke". Also, after each task, the guys had the opportunity to receive a qualified commentary and checklists of the rules of reasonable financial behavior from the game moderators - employees of the Department of Financial Management and Banking Yulia Mikhailovna Sklyarova, Elena Nikolaevna Lapina, Lyudmila Anatolyevna Latysheva.

The acquired experience and competence of financially literate behavior from students of secondary vocational educational organizations will allow them to make effective decisions in the use and management of personal finances, understanding and assessing the possible financial consequences, which in turn contributes to the improvement of a person's financial well-being and are important factors for his successful socialization in society. ...

As a result of an uncompromising struggle, the winners were determined:

1st place - Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Stavropol State Agrarian University"

2nd place – SBPEI "Blagodarny Agronomical College",

3rd place - SBPEI "Nevinnomyssk Power Engineering College".

The winner and prize-winners of the tournament are awarded with diplomas and valuable gifts, and all participants - with certificates and souvenirs.
