Participation in international professional and public accreditation

Professor of SSAU, as a deputy chairman of the commission, took part in the professional and public accreditation of the Saratov State Agrarian University for four clusters of educational programs.

Professional and public accreditation of basic professional educational programs is one of the new areas of independent assessment of the quality of education in the Russian Federation, the legal basis of which is determined by the Federal Law.

Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Saratov State Agrarian University named after N.I. Vavilov”, an application was submitted for professional and public accreditation to the National Center for Professional and Public Accreditation in four clusters of educational programs - “ Veterinary and Sanitary Expertise ”,“Animal Science”, “Veterinary Medicine”, “Veterinary Medicine and Animal Science”.

Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and the Faculty of Biotechnology, Professor V.S. Skripkin was included in the commission as a deputy chairman.

From 23 to 26 November, within the framework of the professional-public accreditation procedure, the expert group of the National Accreditation Center conducted an external examination of four clusters. As part of this expertise, interviews were conducted with students, faculty, alumni and employers. During the interview, the following were established: the level of knowledge of students, their choice of disciplines, the presence and results of the questionnaire survey of students, the acquisition of blue-collar occupations by students, the availability of classes at basic enterprises, the active learning technologies used, the availability and quality of individual teacher plans and guidelines, as well as other areas of educational activities.

Checked:

· The demand for areas of training by levels of education;

· Targeted training for specific enterprises, city and district administrations;

· Employment of graduates;

· The formation of an erudite personality from the point of view of culture, ethics, morality;

· Organization of independent work of students;

· The program for the development of the resource base of the departments;

· Conditions for passing practice;

· Professional development of the teaching staff.

During the examination period, the participants visited the base enterprises, where they considered the issues of passing industrial practices and employment of graduates. Making a decision on public and professional accreditation of educational programs of the Saratov State Agrarian University named after N.I. Vavilov will be held at the end of January 2022.
