28-th International Exhibition "YUGAGRO" in Krasnodar

Employees and students of the faculties of agrobiology and land resources and ecology and landscape architecture visited the 28th international exhibition "YUGAGRO", which is traditionally held in Krasnodar.

The YUGAGRO exhibition annually acts as the largest platform for business meetings, demonstration of the achievements of domestic and foreign companies, communication and exchange of experience. In 2021, 640 companies from 24 countries took part in YUGAGRO.

At the exhibition, teachers and students had a unique opportunity to get acquainted with advanced technologies in the field of crop production, selection and agrochemistry. When visiting the exhibition pavilions, they had the opportunity to communicate with manufacturers of plant protection products and fertilizers. In the open area, manufacturers presented new equipment, all visitors to the exhibition could admire it from the outside and evaluate the possibilities while inside.

Among the visitors to the event were members of the teaching staff of the Stavropol State Agrarian University and postgraduate students of the departments of the university: doctor of agricultural sciences. The group also included graduate students of the Department of Chemistry and Plant Protection, assistant Shkirya Anastasia Stepanovna and the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology, assistant Kotova Arina Sergeevna, 2nd year master, technician of the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology Kuzminova Yulia Nikolaevna and a 4th year student, student dean of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources Vdovydchenko Ivan.

As part of the trip, an excursion was planned to the center of the agrochemical service "Krasnodarsky", where the staff of the Stavropol GAU was greeted by the director of the organization, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Oleg Anatolyevich Podkolzin. The head of the laboratory, Olga Vladimirovna Kolendo, gave an excursion around the center, during which scientists and students got acquainted with the instruments and equipment that are used in the course of performing agrochemical analyzes. Employees of the institution annually carry out agrochemical and ecological-toxicological examination of agricultural land on an area of 200 thousand hectares, conduct research to determine the agrochemical indicators of soil fertility - 25 thousand samples. Within the framework of the visit, the scientists of the Stavropol State Agrarian University and the staff of the Krasnodarsky Central Antimonopoly Service discussed the state of soils based on the data obtained during the agrochemical survey, the need for a scientific approach to ensure the preservation and increase of soil fertility.
