Student scientific quest “Secret stories of N.I. Vavilov"

For the first time, a student scientific quest dedicated to the famous Russian and Soviet scientist Nikolai Ivanovich Vavilov was held on the basis of the faculties of agrobiology and land resources, ecology and landscape architecture.

Every year, students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources and the Faculty of Ecology and Landscape Architecture take part in the International Student Vavilov Olympiad and win prizes in individual and team events.

In order to attract freshmen to participate in scientific competitions and olympiads, at the initiative of the students and the leadership of the faculties, it was decided to conduct the first student scientific quest.

9 teams, more than 30 charged organizers, 9 different stations and 2 hours of exciting tasks and mysterious stories - this is how the students remember the quest.

The stations introduced the participants to discoveries and interesting facts from the life of Nikolai Ivanovich Vavilov. So, students solved a scientific crossword puzzle, studied the scientist's family tree, determined according to the description of Nikolai Ivanovich's teachers and performed many other tasks related to the life of the great botanist and breeder.

The guests of honor were present at the summing up of the quest:

Vice-rector for scientific and innovative work of SSAU, professor - Alexei Nikolaevich Bobryshev;

Dean of faculties, professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences - Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko;

The head of the teams participating in the annual Olympiad dedicated to N.I. Vavilov - Olga Georgievna Shabaldas;

Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor - Lyubov Vasilievna Maznitsyna;

Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources for educational work, Associate Professor - Elena Borisovna Drepa.

The leadership of the university and faculties thanked all the organizers and expressed the hope that the student scientific quest “The Secret Stories of N.I. Vavilov”will become a new tradition and will attract students to participate in scientific conferences and competitions.
