Within the framework of the Erasmus + program, a block-seminar on the SAGRIS project began at SSAU

SAGRIS is aimed at improving postgraduate education in sustainable agriculture and the agricultural systems of the future. Stavropol State Agrarian University and other educational institutions included in the program, began work on module 3 "Methods of scientific research" (Kazakhstan) "Modern methods of scientific research" (Russia). Keynote speakers: Kazakh Agro Technical University and Stavropol State Agrarian University. The project is designed for 3 years.

Within the framework of 1 block-seminar of 3 modules, participants from Russian universities will have to go through a rich program that includes lectures, cluster classes, excursions around Stavropol State Agrarian University and group work to prepare speeches at the forum, which will be held on the last day of the seminar. In total, 5 European universities, 4 Russian and 4 Kazakh universities participate in the program.

At the opening of the seminar, participants were greeted by:

Deputy Chairman of the Board for Academic Activities - Rector, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Academician of APNK Kazakh Agro Technical University named after Saken Seifullin Abdyrov Aitzhan Mukhamedzhanovich;

Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Alexander Vladimirovich Trukhachev;

Project Manager M.Sc, Anna Borsuk (University of Nürtingen-Geislingen, Germany);

Head of module 3 from European universities, Professor Axel Schwerka (Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Poland).

The program will improve the teaching methodology, will stimulate the development of a new strategy for the training of scientific and pedagogical personnel at higher educational institutions in Russia and Kazakhstan.

The project is aimed at solving problems in the field of training scientific and pedagogical personnel in accordance with international quality standards and aims to increase the level of knowledge in the field of sustainable agriculture and agricultural systems of the future – an issue of national, interregional and international importance.

On the first day of the seminar, Axel Schwerk, Warsaw University of Life Sciences, Poland, gave a keynote speech "The Importance of Methods and Publications in Scientific Work - Past, Present and Future"

The main objectives of the SAGRIS program:

To develop and implement 4 educational disciplines / modules in third cycle training in different regions in order to increase the level of knowledge, competencies and qualifications of graduate students / doctoral students in the field of interdisciplinary sciences, and transdisciplinary content and approaches in conducting research on agriculture and the implementation of innovations;

To increase human resources, update the material and technical base and literature at the university for the training of graduate students / doctoral students in accordance with international standards and based on the best practices;

To strengthen international and interregional exchange and scientific cooperation among project partners;

To create a partnership network for third cycle education in agricultural sciences, aimed at sharing best practices with the general public.

The first day of the seminar ended with a tour of Stavropol State Agrarian University.
