In the course of the implementation of the state program "Priority 2030", open lectures were held for students of the "Agronomy" direction from leading experts in the agricultural industry of the Stavropol Territory.
The event was organized by the Dean of the Faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources and Ecology and Landscape Architecture, Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko. Leading specialists of the agrarian sector of the region spoke to the students: chief agronomist of LLC Agrofirm "Kitz" Natalya Vladimirovna Bendusova, Agronomist-expert Sergei Vladimirovich Chebanenko and commercial director of LLC "Agrosoft" Pavel Alexandrovich Tenekov.
The marathon of lectures was started by Natalya Vladimirovna Bendusova, who introduced the students to the activities of Kits Agrofirm LLC, told about the pros and cons of technologies for the cultivation of basic agricultural crops in an extremely arid farming zone. This farm is a leading producer of agricultural products in the region and ensures sustainable development of rural areas by creating jobs and improving infrastructure in the Neftekum region. Leading specialists spoke to the students.
Sergey Chebanenko made a presentation on modern No-till technology. Sergey Vladimirovich spoke in detail about the essence of the technology, the applied technique and the experience of foreign countries. In comparison with traditional technology, No-till is designed to protect soils from water and wind erosion, increase soil fertility, which will lead to higher yields, and, as a result, will solve the problem of fighting hunger. Sergey Vladimirovich gladly answered the questions of interest to the students and urged them to be ready for success.
At the end of the lecture "Fertilization in the system of precision farming", Pavel Aleksandrovich Tenekov spoke. According to the lecturer, at the moment, for the sustainable development of the agricultural sector, highly productive and environmentally friendly methods of sustainable agriculture must be observed. The specialist introduced the students to the basic elements of precision farming technology and the now popular NDVI index. The process of obtaining and processing satellite images of fields was described in detail for subsequent differentiated fertilization.
At the end of the meeting, the head of the courses and the dean of the faculty of agrobiology and land resources, Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko, thanked the speakers for the material presented with dignity. The lecturers, in turn, expressed gratitude for the organization of an open dialogue with students and noted the high level of their professional training.
