Open lectures by leading experts of the Stavropol Territory in the field of agriculture

As part of the implementation of the federal program "Priority 2030" at the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources, open lectures were held by leading experts of the Stavropol Territory in the field of agriculture for the direction "Agronomy".

The event was organized by the Dean of the Faculties of Agrobiology and Land Resources and Ecology and Landscape Architecture Alexander Nikolaevich Esaulko. Leading experts of the agrarian sector of the region acted as lecturers: the chief agronomist of the SPK collective farm-pedigree plant "Kazminsky" Alexander Vasilyevich Ostrikov, the head of his own farm Gennady Konsantinovich Sobynnin.

The meeting was started by Alexander Vasilyevich Ostrikov, he introduced the students to the technology of precision farming at his enterprise, which ensures the sustainable development of agriculture. The agronomist spoke about fertilizers applied in the fields of the farm, which are the guarantor of ensuring the country's food security. Compliance with all agricultural practices, the use of new technologies, according to Alexander Vasilyevich, contributed to obtaining a record yield of winter wheat in the farm of 90 c / ha! Recall that obtaining high-quality and affordable agricultural products is one of the UN's global sustainable development goals.

Gennady Konstantinovich Eventnin introduced the students to the activities of his own farm. The conversation turned out to be interesting, because the students were told the story of the creation of the first reindeer farm on the territory of the Stavropol Territory - "DeepFarm". After the transfer of part of the farm's lands to the lands of the protected zone, a hundred red deer were brought to the Andropovsky region from the Kaliningrad region. The animals have taken root and delight the guests of the farm. Gennady Konstantinovich emphasized that the desire to take into account the value of ecosystems and biological diversity is an important aspect of the protection and restoration of terrestrial ecosystems.

During the meeting, the students asked many questions to the guests, which proves their interest in the meeting. The lecturers noted the high level of professional training of students at our university, which in the future will have a positive effect on the development of the agro-industrial complex of the Stavropol Territory.
