Financial literacy tournament "Happiness is not in money"

At the site of the Business School "ABC of Money" of the Youth Technopark "FoodNet" of Stavropol State Agrarian University, a financial literacy tournament "Happiness is not in money" was held among freshmen of the accounting and financial faculty. The organizer of the event was the SFO "Financier".

The goal of the tournament is to increase the financial literacy and intellectual potential of young people in managing personal financial resources through:

promoting knowledge that contributes to the acquisition of reasonable habits and skills in the field of forming a personal (family) budget, using banking services, including using loans, maintaining a personal and family budget, the correct calculation of taxes and their payment, the procedure for life and property insurance;

identifying new youth initiatives aimed at increasing the level of financial literacy of the population of the Stavropol Territory;

creation of an algorithm for the formation of the population's habit of the validity of financial decisions taken in the management of household finances and personal finances;

formation of a positive image of a financially literate person.

The competition was attended by 5 teams, which consisted of 1 course of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance in such areas as "Finance and Credit", "Accounting and Audit", "Economic Security".

The competent jury was Vitaly Viktorovich Koshelev, chief economist of the economic department of the Stavropol Territory Branch of the Southern GU of the Bank of Russia; Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance, Doctor of Economics, Professor Elena Ivanovna Kostyukova; Head of the Department of Financial Management and Banking, Doctor of Economics, Professor Yulia Mikhailovna Sklyarova; Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Financial Management and Banking Lyudmila Anatolyevna Latysheva.

Thanks to the game "Happiness is not in money", all the participants demonstrated a fairly deep knowledge of personal finance, erudition and ingenuity, and well-coordinated teamwork allowed them to quickly, efficiently and in a good mood master complex economic concepts and practice personal budget management.

Winners and prize-winners were awarded with diplomas, valuable gifts and certificates for participation.
