Annual national exhibition “VUZPROMEXPO”

Sochi hosted a key event of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, held with the aim of demonstrating the achievements of Russian science and building effective communications between the scientific and educational community, government and business. The National Exhibition “VUZPROMEXPO” is a platform for bright premieres of new developments in the scientific and technological sphere, for discussing the best practices of research, innovation and educational activities, for making strategic decisions in all areas of Russian science and higher education.

Stavropol State Agrarian University is the flagship of agricultural education. The university pays close attention to science. 94% of scientific and pedagogical workers have an academic degree and title, of which 25% are doctors of sciences - this is one of the best indicators among Russian universities.

The stand of Stavropol State Agrarian University presented projects implemented by the University together with strategic partners, agro-industrial corporations of the North Caucasus Federal District:

- a model of a resource-saving technology for processing poultry waste to obtain useful products (environmentally friendly granular organic fertilizers (ECOGOU), biologically active fertilizers (ECOBAU) in liquid form for growing crop products, as well as obtaining a protein-vitamin concentrate (BVK) - a feed additive of animal origin in the rations of feeding farm animals);

- the information stand about the work of University scientists in the field of selection and seed production (FIB-5 - a variety of winter soft wheat, Bosmina - a variety of winter soft wheat, Bagryanitsa - a variety of winter durum wheat, Kupina - a variety of triticale winter);

- samples of wool of sheep breeds bred by our scientists (Stavropol, North Caucasian, Dzhalginsky merino, Russian meat merino);

- the information stand about the creation of a nursery center (in-vitro technology);

- yoghurts with various flavored fillers produced under the Molochny Rodnik brand, in the development of recipe compositions for which scientists from the Stavropol State Agrarian University took part;

- the information stand about the development of the university in the field of animal genomics and biotechnology - for the development of dairy cattle breeding in the Stavropol Territory within the framework of Priority-2030 (Laboratory for selection control of milk quality, to assess the quantitative composition of milk).

The Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Valery Nikolaevich Falkov visited the site of VUZPROMEXPO 2021, the Minister and the stand of Stavropol State Agrarian University did not ignore. Acting rector of SSAU, professor Alexander Vladimirovich Trukhachev reported to Valery Nikolaevich about scientific developments.

The stand of our university also attracted special attention from the Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Vice-President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Irina Mikhailovna Donnik. She discussed the latest scientific research with Alexander Vladimirovich Trukhachev and the Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the rector of the RSAU-Moscow Agricultural Academy named after K.A. Timiryazeva Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev. Irina Mikhailovna highly appreciated the developments of the SSAU scientists.

The work of the exhibition ended with the final discussion platform “How universities help the development of territories. “The third mission" of the university”.
