The project "Stavropol Show Ballet on Ice" was one of the winners of the contest of the Presidential Fund of Cultural Initiatives this year. The grant amounted to 3.9 million rubles, while the total value of the project was more than 4.6 million rubles. There are three major events within the Stavropol Show Ballet on Ice project. The first one is the Patriotic Ball on Ice.
The Patriotic Ball featured three blocks: the national block, where the dances of the peoples living in the territory of the Stavropol Territory will be represented. The second part of the ball was the ballet on ice, in which child athletes performed dances to the music of Russian composers. And the third part was a big "Waltz of the Flowers" to the music of Tchaikovsky, which involved 80 students.
Stavropol State Agrarian University was represented on the ice by:
- Angelina Gerashchenko, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine,
- Diana Sheshkil, Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization,
- Mikhail Soenko, Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization.
In total, 35 pairs of students from different educational institutions of the city who have received basic skills in figure skating during 20 training sessions, athletes and amateurs, members of the ANO "Amateur Figure Skating Club", representatives of national-cultural autonomies of the city came on the ice.
