Membership in the "National Association of Turkey Producers”

At the Council meeting the reports on the situation with the registration of supporting veterinary documents, on the situation on the market of feed components for turkey production were heard and the results of the year were summarized. In addition, applications of a number of organizations to join the Association were considered. By unanimous decision of the Board of FGBOU VO "Stavropol State Agricultural University" was accepted as an associate member of the NAPI with the mission to train professionals for the industry.

There was a meeting of the Board of "National Association of turkey producers" (President - Andrey Alekseevich Kovalev), which was attended, besides the members of the Association, by the rector of FSBEI VO "Stavropol SAU" Alexander Vladimirovich Trukhachev, Vice-Rector for Research and Innovation Alexei N. Bobryshev, Dean of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology Faculty Valentin S. Skripkin, Professor of the basic department of private zootechnology, animal breeding and selection Elena Edugartovna Yepimakhova.

According to the preliminary results of 2021 in the gross production of poultry meat (5.1 million tons) turkey meat is 6.9%. "National Association of turkey producers" (NAPI) was created in May 2021 by the leading turkey meat producing companies of Russia. The purpose of the Association is to unite the efforts of Russian turkey meat producers and interested organizations in the development of turkey breeding in the interests of providing the Russian population with high-quality and affordable turkey meat for healthy eating, development of the domestic breeding base and strengthening the export potential of the industry. Thirty-nine organizations have already joined the Association, including 17 breeding and commercial turkey breeding poultry farms. I All-Russian Congress of turkey producers was held on 05.10.2021.
