Circuit parliamentary of the committee on agrarian issues of the State Duma of the Russian Federation

At the Russian State Agrarian University - Moscow Agricultural Academy named after K.A. Timiryazev, circuit parliamentary were held on the topic “On legislative support for the development of agricultural science and the training of human resources for the agro-industrial complex of the Russian Federation”. In recent years, there has been a clear trend in the change in demand in the labor market of rural areas and the transformation of the structure of agricultural workers. Hearings of the Committee on Agrarian Issues of the State Duma of the Russian Federation were devoted to the issues of new approaches to training personnel, the development of the agro-education system.

The circuit was opened by Chairman of the Committee on Agrarian Issues of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Ivanovich Kashin. The chairman of the committee drew attention to the implementation of large-scale government programs, such as the development of rural areas, drawing the attention of young people to agriculture. He noted the growing attention to agricultural education, its modernization and development. “Without specialists, it is impossible to solve the tasks set for the agro-industrial complex. It is necessary for the regions, starting from the districts, to build an educational policy in the field of agriculture. It is necessary to improve the training of personnel with higher education. Additional knowledge is always highly appreciated.”

Maxim Iosifovich Uvaidov, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, made a report on the development of agricultural education. The Deputy Minister voiced the leitmotif of the work of Russian agricultural universities. In the 21st century, it is becoming prestigious to engage in agriculture and work in the agro-industrial complex, which means that the demand for specialists from various sectors of the agro-industrial complex is growing. “I would like to note the practice-oriented approach to education in agricultural universities. An agronomist cannot be trained at a desk. Now the classes have returned to their usual format, students are studying at the educational farms. The main thing is to teach students in such a way that after graduation they will be ready-made specialists, they will come to the field and not be confused.”

The Acting Rector of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Alexander Vladimirovich Trukhachev took part in the circuit.

The circuit was broadcast in real time, all higher educational institutions subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia connected to it.
