Meeting of future specialists with a production representative

The purpose of the meeting is to provide students with information about the Stavropol Botanical Garden named after V.V. Skripchinsky, acquaintance with the main activity, development prospects, requirements that the employer is now putting forward to specialists. Stavropol Botanical Garden named after V.V. Skripchinsky is located on an area of ​​132 hectares, where 93 hectares - permanent plantations, including 20 hectares - a site of natural broad-leaved forest with a reserved regime, introduction and production nurseries and an economic complex.

On the basis of the Department of Ecology and Landscape Construction, a meeting was held with a senior researcher at the Dendrology Laboratory of the Stavropol Botanical Garden named after V.V. Skripchinsky, candidate of biological sciences Evgenia Nikolaevna Grishchenko.

The meeting was opened by the assistant of the Department of Ecology and Landscape Construction Anastasia Stepanovna Shkirya. In her speech, she reflected the goals and objectives of the event.

The scientific divisions of the garden are represented by laboratories: dendrology, floriculture, flora and vegetation. There is an experimental production unit. The Botanical Garden is the initiator and executor of work on the allocation of reference ecosystems to wildlife sanctuaries, the study of food and medicinal resources, rare and endangered species of wild flora and vegetation of the region by the expedition method.

Every year the garden is visited by 3.5 thousand tourists. Garden specialists conduct educational and practical classes and lectures on floriculture, ornamental gardening, and also actively participate in flower exhibitions.

The meeting was attended by 3rd and 4th year students of Landscape Architecture.

Evgenia Nikolaevna spoke about the conditions that they create for their employees, about career opportunities, as well as about the requirements that apply to young professionals. Many students became interested in this offer and asked their questions, as well as possible employment.
