A lesson of courage dedicated to the 79th anniversary of the liberation of Stavropol from the Nazi invaders was held at SSAU

"Lesson of Courage" was held among students of the faculties of Veterinary Medicine, Biotechnology, Secondary Vocational Education. At the beginning of the event, the traditional participation was taken by the "Argo" vocal studio, which performed a song of the war years.

The main guests were veterans: Chairman of the Regional Council of Veterans Alexey Pavlovich Karabut, member of the Presidium of the Council of Veterans of the Leninsky District of Stavropol, retired lieutenant colonel, veteran of the Armed Forces of Russia Evgeny Ivanovich Sereda, member of the Presidium of the Council of Veterans, retired major, veteran of the Armed Forces of Russia Vladimir Mitrofanovich Belichenko, Chairman of the Council of Veterans of SSAU, Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy and History Nikolai Gavrilovich Guzynin.

The guests and students were welcomed by the Acting Rector of SSAU, Doctor of Economics, Professor Alexander Vladimirovich Trukhachev.

In his speech, Alexei Pavlovich Karabut, chairman of the regional Council of Veterans, interestingly and meaningfully revealed the feat of the defenders of the Fatherland not only in the liberation of Stavropol, but of the entire North Caucasus. He conclusively refuted false ideas about the insignificant role of the battle for the Caucasus with the fascist aggressors. He convincingly criticized the myths about the decisive role of the United States and Britain in the Second World War.

Members of the Presidium of the Council of Veterans of the Leninsky District of Stavropol E.I. Sereda and V.M. Belichenko interestingly and meaningfully showed the heroic episodes of the liberation of Stavropol from the German invaders. They revealed the special significance of forming in the minds of young people a grateful memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War.

SSAU students also took an active part in the "Lesson of Courage". A 2nd year student of the Faculty of Social and Cultural Services and Tourism Darya Elagina read a poem about Stavropol. Yulia Sukhomlinova, a 2nd year student of the Hospitality and Tourism Faculty showed the heroic and tragic life of Ivan Bulkin in a captivating and interesting way. In the final speech among the students participating in the event, the 1st year student of Hospitality and Tourism Faculty Zumrud Isayeva revealed the courage and heroism of the Stavropol resident A.E. Korotkov, who took part in the liberation of Stavropol as a regiment commander.

In the final speech, the Chairman of the Council of Veterans of SSAU Nikolai Gavrilovich Guzynin convincingly considered the great importance and interconnection in the minds of students of such qualities as "remember and honor" in relation to the Great Patriotic War and their life.
