Meeting "The state of winter crops of the 2022 harvest and monitoring the moisture supply of crops"

A meeting was held at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory on the topic "The state of winter crops of the 2022 harvest and monitoring the moisture supply of crops." The Stavropol Territory is one of the key regions for the cultivation of grain crops in Russia and is among the first places in the Russian Federation in terms of wheat harvest. In the structure of sown areas in the Stavropol Territory, wheat prevails, the share of which in the total area amounted to 58.5%.

The meeting chaired by the Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory Sergey Aleksandrovich Izmalkov was attended by Alexander Nikolayevich Esaulko, Dean of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources, Ecology and Landscape Architecture, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

In the Stavropol Territory, the sowing of winter crops today occupies 2.1 million hectares of the total area. At the same time, 83 thousand tons of active ingredient of mineral fertilizers or 50 kg of active ingredient per 1 ha were introduced into the soil, which made it possible to provide a supply of nutrients before going into winter. Favorable weather conditions and compliance with a set of agrotechnological measures made it possible for crops to grow by 92%.

With a welcoming speech, the meeting was opened by the First Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Stavropol Territory Vladimir Nikolaevich Sitnikov. Further, Elena Alekseevna Tambovtseva, First Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory, reported on the current situation with the state of winter crops.

The Dean of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources, Ecology and Landscape Architecture, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Nikolayevich Esaulko reported on the schedule for monitoring the moisture supply of crops of winter crops of the 2022 harvest in the areas assigned to the university at the meeting.

On the agenda, this issue was considered by two more speakers: Deputy Director for Methodological and Legal Issues of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of the State Center for Agrochemical Service "Stavropolsky" Anatoly Vladimirovich Burlai and Acting Director of the Federal State Budgetary Institution of the Station of the Agrochemical Service "Prikumskaya" Armen Aleksandrovich Makarov.

Fedor Vladimirovich Eroshenko, Doctor of Biological Sciences, Head of the Department of Plant Physiology of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution "North Caucasian Federal Scientific Agrarian Center", Professor of the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology of the SSAU, raised the same question about the state of sowing of winter crops of the 2022 harvest.

Andrey Yuryevich Oleinikov, head of the branch of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "Russian Agricultural Center" in the Stavropol Territory, spoke at a meeting about the phytosanitary state of winter crops of the 2022 crop.
