Broker's Day: the results of the exchange game with students

Finance workers have professional holidays. Broker's Day is traditionally celebrated in Russia on January 31st. This date of the holiday was chosen because companies sum up the financial results of the year. For Russia, a broker in the stock market is a relatively new profession, since trading exchanges appeared in our country only in the early 90s of the 20th century. But do not forget that the first stock exchanges in our country appeared at the beginning of the 18th century by decree of Peter I.

On the eve of the holiday, teachers of the department "Finance, credit and insurance business" held a master class "How to trade? Peculiarities of Exchange Trading” jointly with "Finam-Stavropol" investment company. The participants of the event were students of the Accounting and Finance Faculty, the Faculty of Hospitality Business and Tourism, the Faculty of Agricultural Mechanization.

During the event, the director of the "Finam-Stavropol" investment company, a practicing broker, Lyubov Mikhailovna Butaliy, spoke about the peculiarities of transforming personal savings into investments, explained how to open a brokerage account for trading securities and currencies on the stock exchange, described the types of brokerage accounts, gave recommendations on the use of technical and fundamental analysis in stock trading. She paid special attention to the peculiarities of exchange trading, providing participants with an opportunity to access the demo account of the FinamTrade trading platform.

At the end of the event, the students were invited to take part in the exchange game, in which the participants of the master class actively formed their investment portfolios for 5 days.

Summing up the results of transactions and determining the best trader of the Investor School took place on February 1, 2022 at the investment company "Finam-Stavropol" LLC.

The winners were 3 students of the 5th year of the Accounting and Finance Faculty of the specialty "Economic Security":

Solemn awarding of the winners took place in the investment company "Finam-Stavropol" LLC. The director of the branch presented diplomas and memorable gifts to all the winners.
