As part of cooperation with Stavropol State Agrarian University, a new innovative laboratory is being organized at the Pyatigorsk Dairy Plant to develop functional dairy products of a new generation. The project was implemented as part of the implementation of the program of academic leadership "Priority 2030".
The functionality and usefulness of the developed products will be brought to a fundamentally new level not only for the region, but also for the country as a whole. In particular, they will help with recovery after Covid.
From the side of Stavropol State Agrarian University, the project is led by Sergey Alexandrovich Oleinik, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor, Head of the Milk Quality Laboratory, from the production side, Konstantin Borisovich Sukharev, General Director of the Pyatigorsk Dairy Plant.
“There is a traditional line: kefir, fermented baked milk, etc. - they are certainly useful. But today the climate is changing, the ecology is deteriorating, Covid has come (more and more people are coming to CMW just to recover from the virus), and we must respond to these new challenges in the form of products that will help fight adverse consequences,” the plant’s general director Konstantin Borisovich explained.
The holding, which includes the Agrofirm "Selo named after G.V. Kaishev" and the Pyatigorsk Dairy Plant, is a strategic partner of Stavropol State Agrarian University under the Agroinnopolis 2030 program.
