As part of the Agro-Industrial Exhibition AgroKAVKAZ - 2022, a large-scale Forum of Farmers of the North Caucasus was held at the exhibition complex "MinvodyEXPO" in Mineralnye Vody.
The forum brought together the heads of the leading peasant farms of Stavropol, Dagestan, Karachay-Cherkessia, Kabardino-Balkaria, North Ossetia-Alania, Chechnya and Ingushetia to communicate and exchange experiences. The forum was attended by employees of Stavropol State Agrarian University:
Vitaly Yuryevich Velichko - head of the laboratory of agricultural biotechnologies of Stavropol State Agrarian University;
Dmitry Vasilyevich Gavrilov - head of the greenhouse complex of Stavropol State Agrarian University.
One of the main events of the forum was the panel discussion: “Farming. Efficient and profitable business”, where many successful farmers, as well as specialists and managers of leading agricultural companies from the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District and the Southern Federal District, specializing in the production of plant protection products, water-soluble fertilizers, planting and seed materials, shared their experience.
During the discussion, the participants discussed the main negative trends in the market of fertilizers and plant protection products, touched upon the topic of pricing policy development options in 2022, and also talked about the catastrophic shortage of young professionals in the agricultural industry.
