Practical lesson for students of the faculties of veterinary medicine and biotechnology, as part of the work of the Center for Organic Poultry Farming in the South of Russia

The ongoing scientific research is in line with the implementation of the projects of the program of academic leadership "Priority 2030". The result of the work will be the execution of intellectual property documents and the publication of articles in journals recommended by the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation.

Actual scientific research: “The development of methods for optimizing the incubation of eggs of cross-country hens “Dominant TsZ” is carried out in the vivarium of the biotechnological faculty of Stavropol State Agrarian University. The experiments are supervised by Ksenia Chervyakova, graduate student of the 1st year of study, winner of the SSAU rector's grant competition. The work is carried out by the subscientific leadership of the Doctor of Agricultural Sciences, Professor of the Basic Department of Private Animal Science and Breeding of Animals Elena Edugartovna Epimakhova.

For three weeks, the eggs of meat-egg chickens of brown-shell crosses "Dominant TsZ" from the Czech Republic were incubated: "Sussex D-104" ("D-104"), "Blue D-107" ("D-107"), "Black D -149 "(" D-149 "). Students of the second and third courses of the direction of training "Zootechny" took an active part in the scientific work.

To assess the condition of day-old chicks and divide them by sex, a demonstration presentation was held with elements of imitation of the technological aspects of the incubation of poultry eggs with the participation of the production partners of the faculty. The experts were: Olga Andreevna Vrana, manager of Agrokormservis plus LLC, and representatives of IP Gerasimenko: head - Valentina Kuzminichna Gerasimenko, manager Anna Nikolaevna Chernova, incubator operators Galina Georgievna Golotenko and Elena Anatolyevna Yurchenko.

From the Faculty, the following teachers participated in scientific research: Head of the Basic Department of Private Zootechnics, Selection and Breeding of Animals, Doctor of Biological Sciences Evgeniy Nikolayevich Chernobay and Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Animal Feeding and General Biology Tatyana Ivanovna Antonenko.

The attendees were presented with further plans for the comprehensive implementation of scientific research. In particular, Candidate of Agricultural Sciences, Associate Professor of the Basic Department of Private Zootechnics, Selection and Animal Breeding Evgeny Ivanovich Rastovarov revealed the methodology for conducting an associated study on rearing replacement chickens on the topic: feeding behaviour.
