The Week of Science ended at the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education

The Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education hosted the Week of Science, during which students had the opportunity to plunge into the world of discoveries, learn a lot of interesting things, test their own knowledge in various intellectual competitions. A number of events were organized by faculty teachers with the involvement of experts from various organizations of the city.

1st year students of the specialties “Agronomy” and “Gardening and landscape construction” took part in the intellectual competition “Own game”, dedicated to philological science. During several rounds, the participants “measured” their knowledge of the Russian language and literature, solved literary puzzles, language charades and competed in word formation. The first-year students demonstrated a significant amount of knowledge by answering interesting and not simple questions.

At the end of “Own Game”, a member of the jury - a specialist in the educational and methodological department, Elena Anatolyevna Miroshnichenko, awarded the team “Polyglots” with a diploma of the winner.

For students of group 21 V-9-1, the teacher of Russian language and literature, Irina Nikolaevna Ivanova, prepared and conducted the Russian language olympiad “Pushkin dictation: “Reflections: The World of Russia and the world of childhood in the work of A.S. Pushkin. The students who took part in the Olympiad received certificates.

The faculty hosted a socio-psychological training “Development of systems thinking”, it was prepared by the FSF teacher Victoria Alexandrovna Solomonova for 1st year students. The invited guest, Associate Professor of the Department of Pedagogy, Methodology and Technology of Education of the Psychological and Pedagogical Faculty of the NCFU, Candidate of Psychological Sciences Vladimir Aleksandrovich Solomonov conducted a lesson for first-year students, where the guys got acquainted with the concepts of “thinking”, “consciousness”, “intelligence”; completed practical tasks aimed at developing systems thinking; conducted a self-diagnosis to determine creative abilities.

There was also a defense of research projects by students of group 21GD-9-1 under the guidance of a teacher from the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education Violetta Aleksandrovna Filippova. In their projects, freshmen studied management systems in education, the agro-industrial complex, and the hotel business. As a result, the students presented their interfaces, schemes, structures of automated control systems, identified analogues of automated control systems and analyzed further prospects for their distribution.

The teacher of the faculty of secondary vocational education Anna Viktorovna Morgunova held a round table “Status of a young scientist” for 3rd year students. The main objective of the event was to demonstrate the opportunities for self-realization of students in science, the demand for and prospects for a research career at the university and in the country; in correcting the image of a modern scientist in the mass consciousness of young people. The students get acquainted with the legal status of young scientists in Russia and the enshrined rights to special measures of state support. As part of the discussion at the round table, the main directions for the implementation of scientific research were considered, taking into account the interests of both developers and investment funds, as well as consumers of the final product. At the end of the event, the students summed up the results, concluding that it is now prestigious and fashionable to engage in scientific research.

Elena Viktorovna Zaitseva, teacher of the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education, held a quiz “Knowledge Auction” for 1st year students of group 21ZOO-9-1. Elena G. Shipunova and Elena Anatolyevna Miroshnichenko were invited as members of the jury. Two teams of freshmen went through an exciting game that consisted of 5 rounds of questions, difficult tasks and puzzles. An interesting quiz gave everyone positive emotions and new impressions.

For 2nd year students, a seminar “Technical process as an indicator of the development of science in the country” was held, prepared by teacher Anastasia Viktorovna Skorochkina. The seminar considered the way of development of computer technologies in the country and their use in the agro-industrial complex, highlighted modern end-to-end technologies.

Invited guests: Ivan Taran - Head of Engineering Projects Department of Medicine IT LLC, Anton Mashovets - Technical Director of Medicine IT LLC, Yulia Yeshchenko - Head of Training and Production Practice, told students about the modern requirements for a specialist in the field of information systems development, as well as end-to-end technologies used in real practice.

Dmitry Alexandrovich Chernov, a teacher of the FSP, organized an intellectual developmental game “Where is the logic?” for students of socio-economic and technological profiles studying in the specialties “Banking” and “Finance”, “Land and property relations”, “Operation and repair of agricultural machinery and equipment”.

The purpose of this event was to develop the logical thinking and intellectual abilities of students, as well as to raise the prestige of knowledge; in the development of auditory and visual perception, speech of students; the formation of personal qualities of students: a sense of camaraderie, responsibility, mutual assistance, the ability to work in a team.

The event was attended by invited guests:

- Marina Viktorovna Korshikova, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Lecturer at the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education;

- Yuliya Sergeevna Alexandrova, lecturer at the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education.

After two qualifying rounds, the teams of the specialties “Banking”, “Finance” and “Operation and repair of agricultural machinery and equipment” reached the final. The finale of the intellectual game “Where is the logic?” consisted of 5 rounds: “Find a common”, “Learn a literary work”, “Quotes about the language”, “What is missing in the picture”, “Phraseologisms”. At the end of the game, the winner was determined. They became a team of students majoring in “Banking” and “Finance”.

The ability to create functional computer programs is an important part of literacy in modern society, therefore, under the guidance of a teacher from the Faculty of Secondary Vocational Education Natalya Nikolaevna Kuzina, a quiz "I am a programmer" was held for 3rd year students of the specialty “Information Systems and Programming”. All teams demonstrated excellent knowledge and practical skills. The Python team won.

During the quiz, a friendly, creative atmosphere reigned. The guys competed for the right to be called a “programmer”, while worthily appreciating the achievements of each participant.

For 3rd year students, an intellectual game was held by the teacher of the faculty of secondary vocational education Elena Alexandrovna Menkina. The invited guests at the game were the junior employee of the laboratory of soil science and agrochemistry of the Federal State Budgetary Scientific Institution “North Caucasian Federal National Research Center” Daria Andreevna Akhmedshina and the analyst of the department of scientific and technical information Arina Aleksandrovna Mangasarova.

The result was not only a repetition of the material covered, but also the study of new and interesting things in agriculture!
