The Winter Universiade of higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation is held with the aim of forming a healthy lifestyle for students.
The main objectives of the Universiade are: strengthening the health of students and graduate students; creation of conditions for active physical culture and sports; attracting the attention of the heads of federal, regional and municipal physical culture and sports management bodies to the student sports movement; development of sports infrastructure in federal state educational institutions of higher education subordinate to the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia; further development of sports traditions in the agro-industrial complex of the Russian Federation.
The arm wrestling team of the Stavropol State Agrarian University took part in the X Winter Universiade of higher educational institutions of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. The competition took place on the basis of the Saratov State Agrarian University.
More than 180 people from 22 agricultural universities of the country took part in the Universiade.
According to the results of the Universiade, students of Stavropol State Agrarian University took the following places:
3rd place was taken by a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Agrobiology of Land Resources Rustam Magomedov
1st place was taken by a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Social and Cultural Service and Tourism Mikhail Akinin
1st place was taken by a 5th year student of the Accounting and Finance Faculty Islam Aisandyrov
