The meeting of the labor collective of the Stavropol State Agrarian University, chaired by the Acting Rector, Professor Valentin Sergeevich Skripkin, made an appeal.
Dear colleagues! Employees, students and graduate students!
These days we have witnessed dramatic events that are unfolding before our eyes, dividing life into “before” and “after”. Our country has entered a new reality in which we all now have to live and move on.
President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Vladimir Putin, in his address, exhaustively explained the difficult decision to launch a special operation to protect Donbass and the security of our state.
We are all experiencing with concern and compassion what is happening now on the territory of fraternal Ukraine, which, unfortunately, has become a tool for increasing the threat to our country. We believe that in the near future it will be possible to solve the set tasks and stabilize the situation.
At the same time, we see what kind of reaction the steps taken cause a number of unfriendly countries. And we understand that what is happening can create significant problems for our citizens. In these difficult conditions, the agricultural sector faces the most important task of protecting the country's food security, increasing the economic efficiency of domestic agricultural production.
Against the backdrop of the unprecedented sanctions pressure deployed against Russia, the staff of our university needs to significantly intensify work on the training of highly qualified specialists, intensify research activities, including within the framework of international cooperation.
Sanctions also negatively affect the interaction of domestic universities with foreign scientific publications, the implementation of joint projects with scientists from other countries. We urge you to show wisdom, patience, professionalism, and make every effort to maintain the established relationships and connections.
Another serious threat is the numerous fakes and unscrupulous sources of information that directly harm our security, contribute to the intensification and prolongation of the conflict. In this regard, we urge the faculty, staff and students of the university to carefully and responsibly treat incoming messages, not to succumb to provocations and deceit, to protect loved ones from this, and not to allow rash comments on social networks and the media.
Today, more than ever, we must unite and stand together to protect the interests of our Motherland and our people!
For more than 90 years, Stavropol State Agrarian University has been a friendly, close-knit team, where people of different nationalities study and work side by side. Day after day, we work together for the benefit of our country, create and strengthen an environment where we want to grow and develop, appreciate the present and prepare for the future.
Dear teachers, staff and students!
We urge you to maintain restraint and perseverance, to be dedicated to your work, to fulfill your duty with dignity and to help those who need it.
Only together can we survive and ensure the development and prosperity of our great Russia!
