Employees of the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology together with 3rd and 4th year students of the Faculty of Agrobiology and Land Resources conducted sampling for early spring soil and plant diagnostics of winter crops.
Weather conditions on the territory of the experimental farm in 2021-2022 are characteristic of this soil-climatic zone. As a result of a decrease in temperature and heavy precipitation, the timing of fertilizing winter crops is significantly shifted.
The moisture supply of crops is at an optimal and excessive level, the condition of the plants is satisfactory. The presence of secondary root systems of winter wheat is not noted, which can be associated with a reduced temperature regime.
The staff of the Department of Agrochemistry and Plant Physiology and the Laboratory of Agrochemical Analysis annually conduct research on the main phases of the development of agricultural crops in the educational and experimental farm of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.
The results of the research formed the basis for the decision on the features of early spring fertilizing with nitrogen fertilizers in 2022. Scientifically-based forms, doses and timing of fertilizing are recommended for production
