In the Stavropol State Agrarian University, a meeting was held between the leadership and the activists of the university with the delegation of the Stavropol State Medical University

The parties agreed to intensify cooperation in educational, scientific, innovative and other areas of activity.

Opening the meeting, SSAU Acting Rector Valentin Sergeevich Skripkin noted that the experience gained earlier in cooperation between universities should be strengthened and developed.

“We are doing a common cause, we are preparing personnel for the village, for our small homeland. We conduct joint projects, achieve results together, cooperate in the jury, teaching activities. By the way, our mentor Vladimir Ivanovich Trukhachev always emphasized the high competence of the teaching staff of the Medical University. And today we intend not only to preserve the developments, but also to cooperate more closely in various areas,” said the head of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.

Rector of SSMU Viktor Nikolayevich Mazharov thanked for the invitation and confirmed his readiness to find new points of contact in the preparation of human and scientific potential for the village.

“We have nothing to share, universities are in the neighborhood, and young specialists after graduating from the medical university, going to work in the countryside, often create families with graduates of the Agrarian University. They make up the backbone of the rural intelligentsia, specialists, without whom one cannot live in the countryside. We are grateful to you for the invitation and are ready to develop a comprehensive plan for joint work,” Viktor Nikolayevich noted.

After discussing a number of issues at the round table, the participants continued their conversation during a tour of the university. The guests were shown the possibilities of the new SSAU building: modern classrooms for classes and communication, an assembly hall, the innovative space "Boiling Point", a new library with a rare book department, a Center for Advanced Professional Training, etc.

Among the main areas of cooperation are the participation of SSMU students in the project-educational intensive and other events held at the SSAU Boiling Point, an independent assessment of the quality of education, the sharing of the library fund, projects in the field of additional education, interaction in the process of conducting an admission campaign, cooperation in the educational work. For example, teachers of the Medical University were offered to read a course of lectures on biology for SSAU students.

There are also plans to submit joint applications for grants, interdisciplinary research, and expansion of cooperation in the scientific field. In particular, a genetic laboratory will be created at SSAU under the Priority 2030 program. The experience and knowledge of the staff of the medical university will be very useful in its work. As well as in such a promising direction as personalized functional nutrition, which is also planned to be developed at SSAU under a federal grant. Among other things, the parties expressed their intention to create courses on the processing of statistical data for research. An appropriate educational program may appear at the Institute of Additional Education on the basis of the Stavropol State Agrarian University.
