Prospects for the development of an innovative direction in embryology - transplantation of cattle embryos on the basis of a new embryology laboratory

The faculties of veterinary medicine and biotechnology of the Stavropol State Agrarian University discussed the prospects for the development of innovative work in the field of embryology and transplantation of bovine embryos with the participation of leading industrial partners: LLC “Agroalliance Invest” (Stavropol Territory) and LLC SIE “Generius” (St. Petersburg). The work is carried out as part of the implementation of the program “Priority - 2030”.

As part of the implementation of the program of strategic academic leadership “Priority - 2030”, the Center for Management of Highly Productive Animal Genetic Resources of the faculty of biotechnology discussed the prospects for the development of an innovative direction in embryology – transplantation of bovine embryos on the basis of the embryology laboratory being created.

The dialogue was attended by the Head of the Center, Professor of the basic department of private zootechnics, selection and animal breeding, Doctor of Agricultural Sciences Sergey Alexandrovich Oleinik, Professor of the department of physiology, surgery and obstetrics of the veterinary faculty, Candidate of Veterinary Sciences Nikolay Vasilyevich Belugin, general director of LLC SIE “Generius” ( St. Petersburg) Sergey Leonidovich Panteleev, chief veterinarian of LLC “Agroallianc Invest” Evgeny Dmitrievich Isakov, veterinarian Artyom Vasilyevich Lesnyaka.

Specialists examined the vivarium for keeping cattle, rooms for manipulations and the isolation of eggs from animals, laboratory rooms of the veterinary center intended for embryonic work. In the process of discussion, priority measures were developed for carrying out economic work, purchasing the necessary equipment, education and training of personnel for the embryology laboratory.

E.D. Isakov, since the sale of breeding young animals from the breeding farms of our region is limited by regional veterinary standards, while the sale of embryos allows you to successfully create new highly productive herds of dairy cattle not only in the Stavropol Territory, but also beyond its borders.
