The Russian Foundation for Basic Research (RFBR) was established by Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of April 27, 1992 No. 426 "On Urgent Measures to Preserve the Scientific and Technical Potential of the Russian Federation".
The declared goal of the Foundation is to support research work in all areas of fundamental science, promote the improvement of the scientific qualifications of scientists, develop scientific contacts, including support for international scientific cooperation in the field of fundamental research.
In 2022, the research team led by Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor Olga Aleksandrovna Cherednichenko will continue to work on the implementation of a scientific project with the support of the Russian Foundation for Basic Research on the topic “Methodology for the formation and development of an organizational and economic mechanism for achieving sustainable development goals in the national agri-food system”. The aim of the project is to conceptually substantiate the methodology for the formation and development of an organizational and economic mechanism for achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs) in the national agri-food system, allowing the main priorities of the concept of sustainable development to be maximally adapted to Russian realities and prospects.
Based on the results of the evaluation of the scientific report on the grant for 2021, the foundation made a positive decision to continue funding this research in 2022. The main result of the study following the results of the second year of the project was to obtain quantitative indicators and identify priority areas for sustainable development in the agricultural sector in order to further transform social, economic and environmental policies to achieve the SDGs. The project implementers managed to develop a conceptual version of the organizational and economic mechanism for achieving sustainable development goals in the Russian agro-food system. The solution of this problem made it possible to determine the main levels and structural subsystems of such a mechanism, taking into account the need to integrate the SDGs into the strategic planning system and state programs for the development of the agri-food sector of the economy.
During the project implementation period, 23 articles were published, including: 2 - in journals indexed in the Scopus (Q1) and Web of Science (Q2) databases, 1 - in the journal Vologda Scientific Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences, indexed in Web of Science Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI); 2 - in the collections of conferences (Web of Science; Scopus), 10 - in the journals from the List of the Higher Attestation Commission of the Russian Federation (3 - are included in the Core of the RSCI).
The main results of the scientific project were reported at the IV International Economic Symposium - 2020 (St. Petersburg, June 26, 2020); Annual International Scientific Conference "Lomonosov Readings-2020" (Moscow, Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, October 22, 2020); Fourth All-Russian Annual Scientific Conference of the Consortium of Journals of the Faculty of Economics of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov (Moscow, Lomonosov Moscow State University, November 3, 2020); International Scientific and Practical Conference "National Priorities and Security" (Nalchik, October 14-15, 2020); International scientific and practical conference "Issues of industrialization of the agricultural sector" (Republic of Tajikistan, Dushanbe, February 25, 2021); III International Scientific and Practical Conference "Agriculture and food security: technologies, innovations, markets, personnel" (Kazan, May 26-28, 2021); International Scientific and Practical Conference "AgroTech: "Smart" Innovations in Agriculture for Sustainable Development Based on Artificial Intelligence, Big Data and the Internet of Things" (Stavropol, May 27, 2021); XVI International Scientific and Practical Conference of the Russian Society for Ecological Economics "Resource economy, climate change and rational environmental management" (Krasnoyarsk, July 05-10, 2021); International Scientific and Practical Conference "Environmental Problems of Food Security" (EPFS 2022) (Voronezh, February 21-22, 2022).
In April 2022, the research team plans to participate in the International Annual Scientific Conference "Lomonosov Readings 2022" (Moscow, Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, April 19-22, 2022) with the report "Priorities for sustainable development of the agro-food system of Russia".
The results of this project can serve as a scientific and practical basis for further improving the process of integrating sustainable development goals into government programs and business models of the private sector, as well as the basis for identifying priority areas for sustainable development of the agricultural sector with a view to the subsequent transformation of socio-economic and environmental policy.
