Stavropol State Agrarian University hosted an All-Russian scientific and practical conference dedicated to the 77th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War

On the eve of the Victory Day celebration, Stavropol State Agrarian University hosted the All-Russian Scientific and Practical conference "The significance and role of the Soviet Union in the Victory over Nazi Germany and its Allies during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945: a new look and understanding". The venue of the event was the "Boiling Point" of SSAU.

The plenary session of the conference was opened by the Acting Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Professor Valentin Sergeevich Skripkin. He stressed the importance of this event, focusing the participants' attention on the current political situation on the territory of Ukraine, Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics, where our relatives and relatives continue to remain.

"For every Russian, May 9, 1945 is a sacred date, the memory of which is passed down from generation to generation. Everything connected with the struggle of the Soviet people against the Fascist invaders is more than history for us. The Great Patriotic War touched every family, every village and city in our region and country. Our main task is to remember the history of our country," said the acting rector.

During the plenary session of the conference, presentations were made:

Alexey Pavlovich Karabut – Chairman of the Regional Council of Veterans of the Stavropol Territory, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, the topic of his speech is "The military-political and strategic importance of the Battle for the Caucasus";

Marina Evgenievna Kolesnikova – Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Director of the Humanities Institute, Head of the Department of Russian History of the North Caucasus Federal University of Stavropol, the topic of her speech is "The historical memory of youth about the Great Patriotic War: features and problems of preservation";

Nikolay Dmitrievich Sudavtsov – Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Russian History at the Humanitarian Institute of the North Caucasus Federal University of Stavropol, the topic of his speech is "Restructuring the life of Stavropol in a military way during the Great Patriotic War".

During the plenary session of the conference, colleagues from Donetsk National University of Donetsk got in touch online: Tatiana Mikhailovna Udalova, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of National and Regional History, the topic of her speech "The model of the living space of the population of Donbass under occupation (1941-1943)", as well as Elena Aleksandrovna Shkribitko, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of History of Russia and Slavic Peoples, the topic of her speech is "Crimes of the Nazi invaders during the occupation of the city of Makeyevka".

In the final part of the plenary session of the All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference, its participants observed a Minute of silence in memory of the fallen participants of the Great Patriotic War and the Russian military who died during the military operation in Ukraine.

Further work of the conference took place in three directions:

Section No. 1: "On the decisive contribution of the Red Army to the Victory of the anti-Hitler coalition";

Section No. 2: "On the origins of the heroism of the Soviet people. The Red Army and the rear during the Great Patriotic War";

Section No. 3: "The Great Patriotic War. The view of modern student youth".

Svetlana Alekseevna Khubulova – Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Modern History of the K.L. Khetagurov North Ossetian State University, Vladikavkaz, the topic of her speech is "The fight against child homelessness in North Ossetia during the Great Patriotic War";

Natalia Vladimirovna Selyutina – Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department of History of the A.P. Chekhov Taganrog Institute (branch) Rostov State University of Economics ("RINH") of Taganrog;

Tamara Aleksandrovna Bulygina – Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Russian History at the Humanities Institute of the North Caucasus Federal University in Stavropol, the topic of her speech is "Military everyday life in the rear and at the front during the Battle for the Caucasus";

Andrey Vladimirovich Baranov – Doctor of Historical Sciences, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department of Political Science and Political Management of the Kuban State University of Krasnodar, the topic of his speech "Issues of Cossack collaboration in the South of the USSR in the evaluation of documents of state security agencies";

Snezhana Pavlovna Shendrikova – Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department of History and Philosophy of the Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy of the V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University of Yalta, the topic of her speech "The Crimean Academic Russian Drama Theater named after M. Gorky during the Fascist occupation: the resistance movement on the example of the underground group "Sokol";

Lyudmila Ivanovna Tsapko – Candidate of Philosophical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Philosophy and Humanities of Stavropol State Medical University, Stavropol, the topic of her speech "The Great Patriotic War in the context of the formation of the historical memory of modern youth";

Svetlana Anatolyevna Polskaya – Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor, researcher of the Department of Scientific and Educational, Educational and excursion activities of the Museum and Exhibition Complex "My Country. My Story" of Stavropol, the topic of her speech "Falsification models of the role of Lend-Lease and the Second Front in the victory of the USSR in World War II";

Elena Nikolaeva Strekalova – Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Russian History at the Humanitarian Institute of the North Caucasus Federal University in Stavropol, the topic of her speech is "Without a statute of limitations: Nazi crimes against civilians in the North Caucasus";

Vladimir Vladimirovich Sergeev – Candidate of Sociological Sciences, Associate Professor, researcher of the Department of Scientific and Educational, educational and excursion activities of the Museum and Exhibition Complex "My Country. My story" of Stavropol, the topic of his speech "The use of personal award documents of participants of the Great Patriotic War in the process of patriotic education";

Alexander Viktorovich Makarov – Candidate of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor of the Psychology Department of the A.P. Chekhov Taganrog Institute (branch) "RSEU (RINH") of Taganrog, the topic of his speech "Psychological aspects of work and preservation of historical memory in the student environment";

Sergey Mikhailovich Sivkov – Candidate of Historical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Humanities, Economics and Management of the Kuban Institute of Socio-Economics and Law (branch) OUP at the Academy of Labor and Social Relations of Krasnodar, the topic of his speech "The activities of the partisan detachment "Storm" of the Abinsky district of Krasnodar Krai during the Great Patriotic War";

Sofia Olegovna Kudzieva is a post–graduate student of the K.L. Khetagurov North Ossetian State University in Vladikavkaz, the topic of her speech is "Some aspects of the social policy of the Soviet Union in the first years of the Great Patriotic War (1941 - 1942) based on the materials of the Central State Administration of RSO – Alania".

Representatives of the students of the North Caucasus Federal University, Stavropol State Medical University and Stavropol State Agrarian University took part in the conference and made presentations.

"The Great Patriotic War was the biggest tragedy of the XX century, which, according to various estimates, not only claimed the lives of 50 to 80 million people, taking into account both military and civilian populations, covered almost all countries of the world, reflected a bitter echo in the life of every state, every family. The task of our generation is to preserve the memory of the feat of our ancestors," said the organizer of the conference, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor of the Department of Philosophy and History of SSAU Evgeny Tufanov. He thanked all the participants of the event for their active work.

Following the results of the All-Russian scientific and practical conference "The significance and role of the Soviet Union in the Victory over Nazi Germany and its allies during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945: a new look and understanding", a collection of scientific publications will be published.
