Plenary session on the direction “Animal Genomics and Biotechnology”

A plenary meeting (panel discussion) was held at the Boiling Point of Stavropol State Agrarian University as part of the implementation of the draft development program “AGROINNOPOLIS-2030” in the direction of “Animal Genomics and Biotechnology” of the 87^th Scientific and Practical Conference “Agrarian Science for the North Caucasus Federal District”.

The participants of the meeting were welcomed by the Acting Rector of Stavropol State Agrarian University, Professor Valentin Sergeyevich Skripkin. In his welcoming speech, he stressed the importance of training highly qualified personnel for the development of knowledge-intensive animal industries, such as dairy and beef cattle breeding. They were also assigned tasks for the implementation of the strategic project “Agroinnopolis”.

Further, the conference participants were presented with a report by the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Stavropol Territory, Viktor Vladimirovich Fetisov, on the topic: “General Directions for the Livestock Development Strategy of the Stavropol Territory”. The speakers especially emphasized the implementation of the state support program for the strategic industries of the Stavropol Territory, which primarily include dairy cattle breeding and sheep breeding.

Then the floor was taken by the executive director of Agroalliance Invest of the Aleksandrovsky district, Alexander Evgenievich Korelov, who, in his report “Directions for the development of the dairy herd of the Jersey breed in the conditions of Agroalliance Invest”, spoke about the unique productive features of the breed, the prospects for its distribution and inclusion in the production chain dairy products.

Sergey Grigoryevich Lyakhovnenko, head of the Profi accounting system center, in his report “1C: consolidated livestock accounting” spoke in detail about the features of the software product developed jointly with scientists from Stavropol State Agrarian University to account for the productivity and technological parameters of the large-capacity industrial complex for milk production.

The session was summed up by the moderator, professor of the basic department of private animal husbandry, selection and breeding of animals, doctor of agricultural sciences, professor Sergey Alexandrovich Oleinik. In his comprehensive report, he touched upon the possibilities of implementing the innovative technological trend “Application of aerospace technologies in pasture animal husbandry”. The final report on the topic: “Development of the main directions for the accelerated development of animal husbandry in the Stavropol Territory within the framework of the strategic project “AGROINNOPOLIS-2030” emphasized the role of the educational cluster of our university in the successful implementation of the program “Priority-2030”.

As a result, the agenda of the plenary meeting of the conference was fully implemented, the results of its work will be reflected in the collected collection of scientific articles based on the materials of the conference.
