Start of the Regional Patriotic Action “Steppe Landing of Russian Student Teams”

Stavropol State Agrarian University hosted a solemn ceremony of launching the regional patriotic action “Steppe landing of Russian Student Teams”, the regional stage of the All-Russian patriotic action “Snow landing of Russian Student Teams”. Student groups of SSAU did not stand aside.

“Snow landing of Russian Student Teams” is an all-Russian patriotic action, in which 64 constituent entities of the Russian Federation joined. It is aimed at providing patronage assistance to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, home front workers, elderly people with disabilities in remote areas and settlements. The detachments participating in the action hold meetings with students of schools and secondary specialized educational institutions aimed at popularizing a healthy lifestyle and career guidance, as well as organizing cultural and sports events.

Honored guests attended the opening ceremony:

· Boris Ivanovich Drobotov - Member of the Board of the All-Russian Youth Public Organization “Russian Student Teams”, commander of the Stavropol regional headquarters of student detachments;

· Vladimir Aleksandrovich Kayvanov - Director of the Regional Center for Youth Projects.

The “paratroopers” have a large scope of work. In addition to helping rural veterans and home front workers in landscaping the territories, student teams will hold career guidance meetings with schoolchildren, events aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle, and also organize cultural and sports events for schoolchildren. They will also carry out cleaning and cosmetic repairs on the territory of military graves and Memorials of Military Glory.
