Competition “Accounting - science and art”

The competition, organized by the Department of Accounting, was attended by student teams of the 2^nd year of the direction “Economics” of three profiles. The contestants surprised everyone present not only with their knowledge in the field of accounting, but also with creative performances and sketches from Five teams ventured to compete among themselves in professional knowledge and skills:

- “Eight friends of L. Pacioli” (profile “Finance and credit”);

- “Agents 1C” (profile “Finance and credit”);

- “Divine balance” (profile “Accounting, analysis and audit”);

- “World” (profile “World Economy”);

- “Ideal accounting” (profile “Accounting, analysis and audit”).

The participants had to go through difficult tests, demonstrating their knowledge of accounting and demonstrating professional ingenuity, resourcefulness and creativity during the competition.

The mentors of the teams were Associate Professors of the Department of Accounting Feskova Marina Viktorovna, Tatarinova Maria Nikolaevna, Tunin Sergey Aleksandrovich.

The competition was judged by a jury composed of:

1. Chairman of the jury - Dean of the Faculty of Accounting and Finance, Doctor of Economics, Professor Kostyukova Elena Ivanovna.

2.Deputy Dean of the Accounting and Finance Faculty for Educational Work, Associate Professor Victoria Samvelovna Germanova.

3. Deputy Dean of the Accounting and Finance Faculty for Career Guidance, Associate Professor Aleksey Viktorovich Nesterenko.

4. Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor of the Department of Accounting Manzhosova Inna Borisovna.

5. Accountant-economist in the outsourcing company IP Yastrebova Svetlana Alexandrovna, graduate of the master's program “Management Accounting and Controlling” Babkina Daria Sergeevna.

According to the results of 3 stages of the competition (“Greeting”, “Blitz-survey”, “Homework”), the places were distributed as follows:

The honorable third place was shared by the teams “Eight Friends of L. Pacioli” (profile “Finance and Credit”), “Agents 1C” (profile “Finance and Credit”) and “World” (profile “World Economy”),

II place - the team “Divine Balance” (profile “Accounting, analysis and audit”),

The winner was the team “Ideal Accounting” (profile “Accounting, analysis and audit”).

The jury members noted the high level of preparation of the participants. All teams were awarded certificates of honor and sweet prizes.

Accounting is a science. But the practical application of this science in life also requires a certain art, based on the deep knowledge and personal abilities of each employee, as well as on the degree of his practical experience and training student life.
